DOCTORAL SCHOOL OF BIOLOGY
Mission statement:
The Doctoral School of Biology was founded in 2001 and it is the largest postgraduate biology program in Hungary, offering research-oriented training in a wide range of areas of modern biology. The training program emphasizes state-of-the-art practical skills: the majority of credits are earned from supervised research work under personal tutoring by internationally renowned leading scientists. The aim of the training is to fully prepare students for a successful career in many areas of life sciences. The expertise gained by the participants could be used both in basic and applied research settings, and our former students can successfully apply for positions that require highly trained candidates, including the biotechnology sector, the healthcare system, environmental protection agencies, but also other bioscience-related research industries, governmental and civil society organizations.
